Looking for opportunities? or Stress?

"Looking for new opportunities" reads the subject line of my sent mail. 

i have been staring at the mail and the conversations that followed for the past one hour

i am exhausted because my phone is refusing to ring

i call up my husband (i can disturb him.. its my right!)

i talk about my anxiety and he says "Its just been a week with a long weekend! Give them some time!"

i roll my eyes..

i can hear a "call waiting" signal and i disconnect the call abruptly (He will understand)

i can see there is a missed call

My heart is pumping blood at its maximum capacity (Even more!)

i check the missed call list

and... its my Mom! (So obvious!)

My husband gives me a call back and says "hey! it just got disconnected! Any problem?"

and i cannot imagine getting another round of lecture on "Controlling anxiety"

So i just say "yea... this network is the worse!"

And he understands ;)
