Things to remember just before entering your new company

Just like our dating life.. we all realize that it was a big mistake once we take a leap from the home-like-job to a new one. You would have given all kinds of reasons for leaving.. "oh i'm so much fed up of this routine work and looking for something exciting!" (You know you gonna end up doing the same job in the next company too!)
"Hey.. they are paying me so much better" (Well..that's a truthful one)
"i do not like the working atmosphere here" (ahh.. you messed up with your colleagues before all of them decided to totally avoid the psychic you!)
What ever the reasons might be.. All your hatred just vanishes couple of days before getting relieved from your job and you get desperate
So when you enter the doors of you new company...you realize what you have given up and for what!
1. You are under/over dressed
"Your" company had a culture you had got pretty well jelled in. Now on the day of you joining.. you seem to realize that either you are under dressed (staring at the receptionist carrying herself around in a fashionable clothing while all you are wearing is an "elegant" piece) or over dressed (oh boy! now you are going to be considered the "Show off" employee for years to come!)
So instead of glaring at your parents when they comment about your clothing just when you are about to get out of the house, Take their advice, be an "ideal-kid" once in a while and avoid the situations!

2. Talk sensibly
Just when you think you have figured everything about a person during dating and begin to show your "actual" self.. they seem to be repelled. Have you faced it? well.. then watch out your words when you are speaking to your colleagues/future boss/possible partner!
Just because everyone is trying to make you feel comfortable in your new job (or relationship) doesn't mean you spell out every stupid thing you have ever done! No you cannot tell about the time you were kicked out of the class room for indiscipline.. A no-no for talking about your previous girlfriend/boyfriend!! (Its not cool.. definitely not!)

3. Mistaken identity
Its not a light joke by mistaking your boss with a courier guy! Not advisable to have a laugh about it when he is sitting in the cabin just opposite to yours! And a strict No to reveal the same during a casual talk with him!

 4. Comparative talks
We all know deep down that our first love is and will always be the best and unforgettable. yet we also do know that since it didn't last.. we have to move on. So when you are in your next firm talking to people engaged in work never make comments referring to "your" company because its long gone and this new one is "the" one for now. (But don't forget the things you have learned during the years)

5. Bon appetite?
You are hungry.. more than ever because all you have done the whole day is sign loads of papers and introduce yourself with a fake smile which is quite exhausting (i agree) but when you are there for  lunch with the big shots.. make sure you dont seem to be hogging on to everything you can lay your hands on!

6. The before and after
The day you entered the firm for an interview.. there was a joyfulness in the air.. a whiff of excitement and loads of opportunities. But the day you joined.. it seems pretty much like any other company. Don't go in for a shock because earlier visit you had was as a possible candidate and now you are an employee! there are loads of difference between the two! (Similar to meeting the person you are dating and the one you are married to) :p

The list goes on and on. Just like the recipe to have an awesome first date is still unknown.. so is the start of a new job with a perfect day.

So.. Feel yourself.. read loads (of what i write).. Chuckle (just the way you are doing right now).. Determine how much coffee is "too much" and be your "trained" self.
