Happy Monday

I'm swiping up the never ending pages of exotic pics. It's almost 10 on a monday morning and can you blame me? My body is refusing to let go of the AC. The baby is letting out a cute snore beside me while I'm tossing and turning in my bed. I'm pinging my friend saying I might work from home. Reason ? It's too hot outside. A response comes - 'Even the restrooms in your office have ACs. Don't you? Lucky you'

I'm immediately hit with a pang of guilt. He's a friend from my earlier days at the mechanical industry. The only place you could actually sit during summers was the conference room (which had other visitors at the time for obvious reasons) and the manager's cabin (and I didn't have any reason to be there.. even for a minute). My friend on the other hand would be on the production floor with the most extreme conditions.Its not an easy job.
I try telling him the perks of being there vs in an IT company. The 9 to 5 job, the heartwarming staff, the fatherly bosses and the Indian festival celebrations in full glory.. by the time I'm done with the chat (and successful in making him feel better).. I'm rethinking my decision of being in the IT firm :/
