New year’s come and go.. and all you
are left with is a lot of regrets.. Anger on people who never trusted you..
Friends who never cared to keep in touch… people who broke your heart with all
their might.. and you still keep a brave face ahead to face the celebration..
Celebration of hope.. Hope that the coming year shall be better.. But what do
we expect?
People to become overwhelming & understanding
all of a sudden?? (c’mon.. don’t be too much engrossed in stories such as
“Christmas carols”!!) .. do we expect the city to become a little more secure
(yea right! As though thats gonna happen!).. or is it that we expect a stranger
to become a bit more empathetic?? Hmm.. we do.. we ALL do.. !! We expect the
people in our lives to acknowledge us for who we are.. we suddenly start
feeling all lonely just coz we can spot only couples doing rounds in the busy
streets.. Celebrating their togetherness and you become all low because you
realize out of nowhere that you ARE alone! No one is there with you... Not even
the guy/gal who promised to be… for life!
You realize that another year is
passing by.. and all you are left with is the same old you.. and nothing more!
(and hopefully nothing less)
We make friends day in and day out..
not coz we want them (we already have loads) but coz it just happens.. Happens
out of nowhere and once in a blue moon we find someone we know for sure is
never going to leave.. and there.. Right there is the moment I wait for.. every
new year!.. to make a friend for life!
